Suzanne & Paul – Wedding at Linden Hall, Northumberland

The wedding of Suzanne & Paul took place at the historical and grand Linden Hall, built in 1812, yet so well-maintained.  Suzanne & Paul booked me last year.  I still remember at our meeting when I first saw them, I’ve already liked them very much.  Time flown past, and not before long, their big day arrived!

I love capturing weddings in Spring, and I think the month of May is one of the best times to have weddings, due to the beautiful colours of the plants and flowers, and a comfortable weather (good for the photographer!) – sunny yet not too cold.  My second photographer Tommy also came along to help me (thank you Tommy!)

The next day after the wedding, I was very pleased to see Paul & Suzanne’s e-mail:

Hi Ken,

Just wanted to email you and say thank you for yesterday, you were brilliant. We really appreciate you and Tommy and the work that you did. It was a long day for you both and everyone loved you both.  We both look forward to seeing you when we get back from honeymoon and looking at the pictures.

Kind regards,
Paul & Suzanne

Paul & Suzanne: It was a pleasure to be at your wedding and I hope you like these photographs.

Suzanne’s beautiful bridal shoes.  I love the reflection of the shoes on the window.

Suzanne getting ready, with a helping hand from her mum.

Suzanne’s bridesmaids were ready to go as soon as the car arrived to pick them up.  I like this shot, it shows some motion and anxiety.

Off we go! Vintage bridal car travelling to Linden Hall.  The weather was just perfect.  Thank you Tommy for doing this great shot.

Champagne and wedding centrepiece.

These dogs were also enjoying themselves on the day!  Aren’t they super cute?!  Pretty pink Cherry Blossom trees in the background.

Hi Ina, thank you very much for your message. I am always trying to be creative and every wedding I do .. I always want to do something.. for the shoe shot.. I saw the window and fantastic blue sky. I then placed the bridal shoes there..

The colour was already super, I just tweak the photo to make the colour pop.
