Michelle & Alex – Pre-wedding in Newcastle, England

    April 23, 2009 /

Alex and Michelle from Hong Kong wanted to photograph their pre-wedding in Europe, and they asked me for my personal view on a good pre-wedding location.  I instantly thought about my second home… Newcastle. Having lived here for 4 years, I have grown to love Newcastle and its friendly local people, known as the “Geordies”.   With some spectacular night scenes, including the bridges of Newcastle (around 11 of them across River Tyne!), the historic castles and cathedrals that were used in Harry Potter films, the coastline with the unique St. Mary’s Island (separated from the  mainland by a little pathway),  and the Newcastle Central Train Station – one of the oldest train station in Europe.  Newcastle…

Asta and Ian – Pre-wedding Photoshoot in Paris

    April 3, 2009 /

Paris: is truly “the most romantic city in the world”. There is a somewhat mystical, dark and romantic feel to this beautiful European city.  Everywhere you go, you see painting artists, people drinking coffee, couples holding hands, set against some stunning backdrops, Paris is indeed one special city. It has also proven to be the most popular destination for 2009 pre-weddings for my clients!  6 couples have chosen this city as their preferred pre-wedding location.  The photos below show the first of these six couples: Asta and Ian.

    The Wonders of Technology

    March 2, 2009 /

I am on a train travelling to London.  Sometimes, it is great to leave Newcastle for a short while to refresh the mind, body & soul 🙂  Sorry, I haven’t been blogging as often as I used to be.  I have been busy sorting out many things in life plus wedding backlogs. One happy thing that I would love to share is that we met Sino and Gary yesterday (a client I took wedding photographs for at the Royal Station Hotel, Newcastle back in Sept last year).  It was actually the first time they came to our home in Newcastle and to our surprise, they brought us some souvenirs from…

Wendy and Phi – Wedding photo slideshow for wedding at Greenwich, London

    February 7, 2009 /

It has been a while since I updated my blog.  Sorry everyone.  This is the wedding photo slideshow of Wendy and Phi.  I still remember everything that happened on their big day. Everywhere they went, I was so close to them.   Therefore, I had many opportunities to capture their moments.  It was a two-day job, Day One being the Civil Ceremony + pre-wedding photoshoot, and the Day Two being the Chinese Tea Ceremony (an important ceremony in a Chinese Wedding) + followed by the evening reception. As it was a 2-day photoshoot, it was physically quite demanding, but I enjoyed every second of it because Wendy and Phi were very co-operative for the pre-wedding potoshoot near Tower Bridge.  I still remember that it was around -1°c but they could still endure an hour of photoshoot.  Special mention also goes…
