Chinese Wedding at Lincoln Cathedral & Rushton Hall – Stella & Tommy
I first got to know Stella and Tommy through Vanessa and Wah, in 2010 when I was their wedding photographer Slaley Hall, Northumberland. I feel honoured to be able to photograph such a majestic venue such as Lincoln Cathedral which only allows two weddings to be held a year. Rushton Hall is just as unique. I was touched during the speeches given by the bridesmaid, Groomsmen. I was especially touched when Tommy mentioned my name during his emotional speech. It made all the hard work worth it. It was a emotional, wonderful and unforgettable day. This is definitely one of the most memorable weddings that I have shot this year. Thank you again to my couple,…

Paris Pre-wedding photography – Kristy & Martin – P
I sometimes hear my clients saying “Paris is not unique for photo shoots anymore”. However, I still love Paris even though I have been here for more than 30 times. Paris is the most romantic city in the world, it was also the 1st place my wife and I travelled to when we started dating 🙂 The French people are straight-forward, direct and expressive. By looking at their architecture throughout the whole city, there is no question why they like to use art to express their emotions 🙂 I always tell my clients that it is not about the place we shoot or where we shoot. It is about how…

Wedding at the Eastnor Castle – Janet & Ernest
Wedding ceremony: Great Malvern Priory Wedding venue: Eastnor Castle Is it necessary for a professional wedding photographer to make a visit to see the wedding venue before hand? When it comes to a wedding i.e Eastnor Castle which is 256 miles from Newcastle (where I am based), I prefer to arrive at least a day early, so that I could make a visit to look around the place and to prepare lighting setup, test on locations. Having said that, sometimes due to other work commitment I am unable to visit the wedding venues: Malvern Priory Church and Eastnor Castle where my couple Janet and Ernest got married at. Therefore, I…

Rowena & Elijah – Pre-wedding / Engagement photoshoot at Fountains the Abbey, Yorkshire
I hope everyone had a fantastic year 2009. Year 2010 will be another journey for us, having a new member in our family, our little baby Karl, I am sure life will be challenging. This was the last engagement shot I did last year. In Dec, it is always a challenge to photograph in UK as the day time is so short and natural lights are so so dim. To deal with the lighting condition, I always have to find a suitable light to capture my photographs. This time, we went to Fountains the Abbey in Yorkshire, a National Trust site in UK. Very impressive indeed. The lovely couple whom…
