Lynda & Omar Chin-Keow – Wedding in London
We travelled to London to attend Lynda and Omar’s African wedding. It was interesting when I came to know that Omar who is Jamaican, actually has Chinese blood! His grandfather is Chinese, hence the family name “Chin-Keow”. When I saw Omar in person, I thought he looked like Thierry Henry(!), one of the best footballers in the world who plays for Barcelona. Actually thinking about it, he is better looking than Thierry. If any Thierry fans out there disagrees, please leave a comment at my blog 🙂 The day started off with Lynda and Omar dressed in African traditional outfit attending the registration, followed by a western wedding. The reception…

Emma & Andrew – Wedding at Ramside Hall, Durham
On the 11th August, Saturday, we attended Emma and Andrew’s wedding. We arrived the Ramside Hall in Durham at 9:30am so that I could capture Andrew and Richard (his brother) preparing for the day. At 11:08am, we made our way to St. Michael’s Church. This was followed by a reception at the Ballroom of Ramside Hall. It is quite eye-opening to attend an English wedding; in a Chinese wedding the reception (banquet) is normally held in the evening whereas in an English wedding, it is held at lunchtime. There was also a buffet dinner and dance party at 7:30pm. More people joined the evening do. The wedding was very well…

Once upon a SOMETIMENEVER
Since this blog is relatively new, I’ve decided to put up some of my previous photoshoots taken in the past. One of the most memorable ones is doing the photoshoot for SOMETIMENEVER– punk/alternative/rock bank based in Cambridge. I knew Adam (vocal) and he asked me to do a photoshoot for his band. I was very honoured to be doing the photoshoot for their debut album! We went to several locations for the photoshoot, Tesco hypermarket and also at Adam’s home. When their album was unveiled for the first time I was so excited to see which photo they had chosen for the album. I’d like to thank Adam for the…

Suet Leng & Kit Lee – Wedding in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
This is the first Chinese wedding I have attended in Malaysia. Although they are Malaysian-Chinese, they celebrate the same Chinese wedding traditions. Kit Lee is Ling’s cousin brother. They make a beautiful couple. The reception was held in Tai Thong Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. The view of the restaurant at night is lovely, overlooking the Petronas Twin Towers.

Passionate about … Newcastle or Insurance!
Recently, a representative from Northern Counties Insurance Brokers contacted me via e-mail. At first I thought they wanted to sell me insurance, but they were actually asking me about using a photo that I took of the Quayside, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. They saw it from TrekEarth, a space where I upload my travelling photos. After a series of discussions, they have commissioned to use this photo and it is now in Yellow Pages UK, which made me really happy 🙂 It is also used on their website on the “contact us” page. This is one of my favourite photos of Newcastle, I call it “Romantic Quayside” because of the pinkish and purplish…
