Carrie & Victor – Wedding at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The wedding of Carrie and Victor was a memorable one. It was my first time to attend a wedding with over 600+ guests. I feel honoured to be their wedding photographer. During this wedding assignment, I also got to meet Wong, another wedding photographer from Kid Chan Studio in Kuala Lumpur. Although we didn’t have much time for chat, it was lovely to work with another photographer from Asia. Carrie and Victor had put in tremendous efforts in planning this wedding because they wanted to give the best to their wedding guests. Every detail of the wedding have been carefully planned – invitation cards, wedding favours, march-in, the venue. The moment I walked into the wedding reception at…

Basking in Borneo Bliss
Before heading to Kuala Lumpur for a wedding assignment, we decided to make a trip to Brunei to visit our parents. It was my second time visiting this country in Borneo. The first time was back in 2004. That time, I didn’t get to see much due to limited time there. This time, however, is totally different. We had more time to plan the trip and explore the country. Our first stop was to visit the Royal Regalia Museum that houses the precious gifts given to the Sultan of Brunei by leaders from all over the world. This was followed by a visit to the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, most popularly…

Wedding at Longhirst Hall, Morpeth – Julia & Chris
I was over the moon when Julia and Chris booked me as their wedding photographer at Longhirst Hall, Morpeth. I recall Julia said that she was very worried whether the wedding would go on as it was flooding all over in Morpeth a day before their wedding day. There were many places covered in water. Luckily, it did not affect Longhirst Hall at all. The wedding must go on…! Wedding date: 7th Sept, 2008 Wedding ceremony and reception: Longhirst Hall, Morpeth As my work has kept me very busy, we had a funny conversation that morning that went like this: Julia said: “Ken, I am so relieved, I thought you wouldn’t come. Ken said: Why makes you think I…

Sino & Gary – Wedding at Royal Station Hotel, Newcastle
Sino and Gary met each other through the Internet 2 years ago. After Sino finished her studies in UK, she decided to move back and work in Hong Kong. Gary works for Navy – inside a submarine! Cool! It must be difficult to communicate with each other! According to Sino, she is only allowed to leave 1 telegram message to Gary each day. However, it doesn’t really separate them. Gary flies to Hong Kong to see Sino 4 times a year. Wow! Truly a nice guy. Date: 27th Sept, 2008 Wedding ceremony: Newcastle Civic Centre Wedding reception: Royal Station Hotel – Newcastle

Becky & Padraic – Wedding at Wedderburn Castle, Scotland
Becky and Padraic are both from Ireland. They contacted me back in March this year. They were referred by Maureen who attended Lynda and Omar’s wedding in Sept, 2007. I was so excited when I heard that their wedding was going to be held inside Wedderburn Castle in Duns, Scotland. The castle and lands of Wedderburn have been in the hands of the Home (the owners’ family name) family from the 14th century to this day. The Wedderburn Castle is almost 600 years old! My favourite shot of the day!!!
